With the #1 overall pick the Detroit Lions select Alabama Offensive Linemen Andre Smith

Detroit needs a strong inside OL that can stand his own and can dominate his assignments. at 6'4 330 pounds Detroit gets the best available OL. Teams are built from the inside, out. This is for sure the Lions best choice.

For the #3 pick overall, the Kansas City Chiefs choose Eugene Monroe, OT, Virginia

It was a tough choice to pass on a QB, but its not a very good QB draft and if Kansas City can get a no-miss offensive lineman, they gotta take it. Monroe shows huge potential to grow into a dominant NFL force, and the chiefs are gonna need him to step up as a key starter this coming season.

With the 4th pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks select..... Michael Crabtree, Wide Receiver from Texas Tech University.

The Seahawks have a HUGE need for a big time playmaker at Receiver. They have the running game and a pretty good QB in Hasselbeck, but he has nobody to throw too. He will help immensely in his rookie season and make a huge case for Offensive Rookie of the Year.

With the 6th pick, the Cincinnati Bengals will select Rey Maualuga, MLB, Southern Cal.

It is a reach at 6 to take Maualuga but the Bengals need to get much tougher and more physical on offense and defense. Just about every position is a position of need, and unless Levi Jones(LT) gets cut Jason Smith is not much of an option because neither have the size required to move to RT. A pass rusher is a need but it would also be a reach for Aaron Maybin. B.J. Raji could be an option. Rey plays very similar to how Ray Lewis does and Marvin Lewis was Ray's DC in Baltimore. Rey will replace Dhani Jones; who once upon a time was arrested for excessive dancing.

Also with $30m+ in cap room I would expect the Bengals to make a play for Haynesworth/Suggs/Peppers to help on the DL and maybe Jahiri Evans/Jordon Gross/Mike Goff/Max Starks to help on the OL.

With the 7th pick the Oakland Raiders select..Jeremy Maclin ,WR Missiour

We need WR's...some with big play ability...and not just at the WR position,Higgins is a Good return man but not much of a WR..But Maclin can help the situation either way by pushing Higgins and making him a true return man, Mac gets on the field as the 3rd WR matched up Vs a Safety and i think we can win a couple of those match ups...and if he dose then we are for sure going to let him handle kickoffs with Higgins

With the 8th pick in the 2009 NFL draft The Jacksonville Jaguars take WR/RB Percy Harvin (University of Florida)

I know this was a big reach at number 8 but The reason for taking this guy is simple it’s been ages since Jacksonville had a big time play maker at the WR spot. Percy can take it the 100 yards every time he touches the ball.
He draws double and sometimes triple coverage. He will help the other WR by just being on the field, he can also go into the back field and take the ball as a RB and go the distance that way. He is like getting a WR and RB in one.

With the 9th pick in the 2009 NFL draft The Green Bay Packers take Brian Orakpo DE 6'3" 255 from TEXAS

The guy is a monster in the weight room and has both speed and strength and can play as a DE, DT or an OLB. The Packers had a real problem at the defensive line this year and he should be a great addition.

With the 13th pick in the 2009 Draft The Washington Redskins select Michael Oher OT from Ole Miss.

Hard to pass up Stafford and Wells but the Skins are deep at RB (Portis & Betts) and Campbell looks like he might be a pretty good QB. Oher was my favortie tackle in this years class. He should be able to come in and start from day one at RT replacing Jon Jansen and can eventually move over to LT when Chris Samuels retires.

With the 14th Overall Pick in the 2009 Draft, the New Orleans Saints select CB Malcolm Jenkins from the Ohio State University.

We all know that the men of the fleur de lis are solid on the offensive side of the ball with Reggie Bush at RB and the second best passing attack in the history of the NFL with 5,000 yard passer Drew Brees and up and coming WR Devery Henderson, Marques Colston, Lance Moore, and Robert Meachem. Although there are a few small holes in the OL, it is more important to fix the porous secondary that gave up 40+ plays of 20 or more yards. With that in mind, Malcolm Jenkins is a big, physical corner who also has some potential to fill the holes at safety if Mike McKenzie returns healthy. He could also play the all-important NB in the new defensive scheme in NO.

With the 16th pick the San Diego Chargers select Tyson Jackson, DE, LSU

The Chargers would of taken Rey Maualuga if he would of been available. With him off the board, and with the possible departure of Igor Olshansky to free agency, it would only make sense for them to go after Tyson, who many feel is the best 3-4 defensive end in the draft. The Chargers will be able to address SS, MLB, and OG in the later rounds.

With the 17th pick, the New York Jets select, Matthew Stafford, QB, Georgia.

Kinda of an obvious pick and hopefully we are actually this fortunate. Brett Favre may be gone, Kellen Clemens is not the answer IMO. Tough to pick between Stafford and Sanchez, but Stafford has the better arm, size and I feel will have a Matt Ryan type impact if he comes to New York.

the bears select Vontae Davis CB Illinois. I wasn't thrilled with anybody at this position so I will take the best available talent. I was hoping for a play maker here but didn't want to reach.

I got an email from the Tampa Bay GM with his #19 pick and he choose

"I’m ready and if Dirty Sanchez from USC falls to the bucs at this point that is a steal-IMO. We need a QB! IF I don’t get to pick today I will probably miss it over the weekend so feel free to pick for me if that happens."

With the #20 pick the Detroit Lions select Ohio State MLB James Laurinaitis

tough choice between him and a CB or DT. But James Laurinaitis will be a monster in the NFL and compete right away and become one of the more dominant MLB in the NFL... Detroits need for someone who can dominate and control his position is obvious. James Laurinaitis was by far the most needed position player on this team.

With the 21st Pick of the 2009 draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select, Knowshon Moreno, RB, Georgia.

Eagles definitely need someone to take pressure off Westbrook and fill in for him in case of injury. At this point in the draft, Moreno should fill that role quite nicely.

With the 22nd pick in the 2009 NFL draft, the Minnesota Vikings select:

D.J. Moore, CB (Vanderbilt)

All around play maker. Will contribute early as the nickle back and could push Cedric Griffin for his starting spot. Could potentiality help in the return game as well.

With the 23rd pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, the New England Patriots select:

Alphonso Smith, Cornerback, Wake Forest.

Sean Smith, Larry English, Robert Ayers and even Beanie Wells were possibilities here but the need for a cornerback was way too much of a glaring need. Alphonso fits the Patriots mold in a corner more than Sean Smith does. Although Sean's versatility will probably intrigue them.
